It probably isn't a huge surprise that drinking soda or other sugary beverages on a regular basis can negatively impact your health, but just how much may surprise you. Weight gain, tooth decay, heart disease and diabetes are just a few of the possible side effects. A few tips? Keep low-calorie drink options on hand, add noncaloric flavors to water, and try to consume a certain number of glasses of water per day. Since our bodies are largely made of water, there is no substitute for just plain H2O!
